we had a kitty once we called "Simple" (she was the daughter of "Killer")

Simple was not the proper name because she was not dumb, but she was the most trusting if humans cat I've ever known.

She certainly didn't take after her Mom.

Me and the sisters still talk of her to this day.

But I'm not a cat person. Really

One of my great young friends introduced me to her new girl today & they engaged in a public display of affection. All the regulars at the coffee shop applauded, since we are happy when others are happy. Even the non-regulars got caught up in the happiness. I also gave her your blog URL.
& thanks for the cat vid. With this, plus the one on Litbrits blog & the one on Shakes today, I remember why it's great to be a human being in a world that includes cats. We have a new kitten in our house, Tab Benoit. It's the first tommy we've had for awhile & it's so much fun watching him just go nuts chasing the few moths able to deal with the late spring. He hasn't learned, however, that he really isn't supposed to climb the screen door.

I've been fairly depressed about this incredible, well, hatred, I've encountered on the internets. I have usually kept to certain broadly political blogs, but didn't get involved in specific candidate supporting blogs. Anyway, thanks for the cat vid & congrats on going over 20 grand.
