I try to never say: "Some people have too much time on their hands", because usually, they tend to do some incredible things with it.

I watched that this morning on my bloglines feed... I had no idea that Windows was so musical!

There you go. Somebody using their time and intelligence to do something just because it's (subjectively) beautiful and challenging, and to see if it can be done.
