I too am outraged by the "but we want to go play" reasoning behind passing the bill.NameChangedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11870859491797704469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4795483213843043301.post-59619875107651711052007-08-07T09:33:00.000-07:002007-08-07T09:33:00.000-07:00I was somewhat surprised about Claire McCaskill, t...I was somewhat surprised about Claire McCaskill, to tell you the truth.

Man, with fronds like these, who needs anenomes?PortlyDykehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08598941981828041835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4795483213843043301.post-31942303983294613302007-08-07T09:18:00.000-07:002007-08-07T09:18:00.000-07:00It doesn't surprise me one damn bit about my Rep. ...It doesn't surprise me one damn bit about my Rep. Shuler voting for this.
With many of Shuler's votes he might as well switch parties and don't even get me started on his remarks about homosexuality. I could send a letter, but as his office checks my blog every morning, I am fairly certain they know how this constituent feels.

The one name on the list that does surprise me is Jim Webb of VA. He has been very outspoken about Bush and his "means." For him of all people to provide Bush even more power, let along bloody Gonzales, is especially appalling.Petulanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14781103340494702862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4795483213843043301.post-49817020152294686102007-08-07T06:15:00.000-07:002007-08-07T06:15:00.000-07:00I live in Pete Sessions' district, thanks to Mr. D...I live in Pete Sessions' district, thanks to Mr. DeLay's gerrymandering of Texas legislative districts. That he voted for this is not surprising: Mr. Sessions is above all things a loyal Republican. When he says he's voting his conscience, I know he lies: he doesn't have one. He's the guy pushing for EPA air pollution waivers for big-ass concrete plants in Ellis County. 'cause the EPA kills jobs, y'know.

I'll see if I can track down some of the other Texas Democrats and ask them why they couldn't be bothered to stand up for us against a president who clearly can't be trusted with a paper route, much less massive surveillance powers.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032500776429683299noreply@blogger.com
