Oh where, or where has my Portly Dyke Gone?

Don't worry, my stalwarts -- I'm prepping for a trip to the big city, where I'll be teaching this weekend.

Blogging may be sparse from the 5th through the 9th.

Meanwhile, watch this:

Not worried, just missing you.

Wishing it were a VP night. *Deep, pitiful sigh*

Since I really don't want to hijack the Shakesville QOD thread (any more than I already have), I thought it would be more appropriate to stop back by here to say:

I can't wait to read your next installment. I'll admit a lot of what you've said in this series has been a little over my head, but the rest of it has been very compatible with my own views, which is nice because you (and by "you" I mean "I") don't get a lot of people sharing that worldview.

If you're not careful you're gonna find yourself promoted to Blogger I'd Most Like to Meet Someday!

(Heh, and I see you all have gone ahead and hijacked the thread without me...Google Chat, you say? Once again, Portly Dyke, I'm intrigued...)

Hmm. Looks like someone else got their interest piqued.

My dog, Gabby, says that this video depicts the story of Early Labrador Retriever Dog (she says the first one's name was Lucy, but I think she is confusing her species). Apparently, the first Labs were black and called Moutonus Retrievus Labradorus, and evolved into the breed we see today. Gabby is a Yellow Lab, and prone to relating everything to treats or Labradors, so I'm not sure about this story.
Anyway, have fun in the big city, PD.
